Hunt’s The Haunted Manor

William Holman Hunt was a founding member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Hunt painted this 1849 in Wimbledon Park. See the haystack and the lights in the house? Those were added later and thus are different from the somber tones in the rest of the painting. Your thoughts?

Waller’s The Challenge

There’s just something beautiful about The Challenge. Maybe it’s the two gentlemen are having a private conversation while the woman is off to the side by herself. Your thoughts?

Bisson’s Winter

I’m a big fan of Edouard Bisson and I just love this painting of his. The detail and the color are just striking. Your thoughts?

Sims’ By Summer Seas

I picked Charles Sims because I love the brush strokes and the pink in the woman’s dress. I can almost feel the spring / summer breeze. Your thoughts?
